Easy Crockpot "Marry Me Chicken"
I've read several recipes of how to do this “Marry Me Chicken” on the stove top, but I wanted to figure out a way to do it similarly in a crockpot!
This was what I came up with and it was YUM!
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
4-6 Large boneless, skinless chicken breasts sliced in half
3 cups chicken broth
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups heavy cream
3 (or more!) cloves garlic, diced
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
4 tablespoons butter (to place in top of chicken)
1 cup sun dried tomatoes, thinly sliced
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
⅓ cup dry white wine
1 cup grated parmesan
1 cup grated mozzarella
1 pound dry pasta
Instructions:
In crockpot, add chicken broth and wine and slowly whisk in cornstarch until smooth.
Then add heavy cream, garlic, black pepper, salt, Italian seasoning, paprika, and onion powder.
Place chicken in the slow cooker and top with butter and sun-dried tomatoes.
Cover and cook on high for 2½ to 3 hours or low for 6-7 hours.
Mix in 1 pound dried pasta & parmesan.
Cook on high until pasta is tender
To finish, top with mozzarella.
Once the mozzarella is melted enjoy!!
