Easy Jambalaya


Recipe:

7 cups of water

4 tablespoons olive oil

20 oz Zataran's or Jambalaya girl Jambalaya mix

1/2 cup uncooked rice

1 tablespoon fresh, chopped garlic

1 bell pepper diced

2 white or yellow onions diced

26 oz sausage (andouille is most common but we just use whatever is on sale!)

1.5 lbs chicken breast diced

  • In a large dutch oven sauté diced chicken in olive oil until cooked through.

  • Remove chicken (set aside)

  • add onions, bell peppers and garlic and sauté until translucent.

  • add sausage, cooked chicken, jambalaya mix, extra rice & 7 cups of water - combine throughly.

  • Pop the lid on and bake in the oven at 350° for 45-60 minutes.
