Faux French Dip



Ingredients:

3 lb beef chuck roast

2 tbsp olive oil

1 large onion roughly chopped

2-5 cloves garlic

1-2 cup baby carrots

1 packet of onion soup mix

1 cup red wine

1 cups of water

1 tsp herbs du provance

1 tsp kosher salt

½ tsp pepper

I packet of onion soup mix

Directions:

  • Rub the beef (trimmed of excess fat) with olive oil, herbs, salt, pepper.

  • Sear in dutch oven

  • Add onion, carrots, red wine, water and onion soup mix.

  • Cover and pop in the oven at 300° for approximately three hours.

  • Shred and serve on toasted bread or buns with melted mozzarella cheese.

  • Use liquid left in the pan to dip the sandwich.
