Marry Me Now! Creamy Grilled Chicken & Sausage Pasta
Marry the person who spices up a "Marry me chicken" recipe by adding sausage and making it a full meal! (The frozen veggies are optional, but it makes it a meal and one which is great for a family dinner)
Here's the recipe:
Serves 8-10 people! Great for meal prep!
Sauté:
1 lb smoked sausage, diced
1-2 lbs grilled chicken, diced
2 cups ham, cubed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 yellow onion, diced
2 cups chopped brown mushrooms (optional)
1 12 oz bag frozen mixed vegetables
1 teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Then add in:
1 cup chicken stock
2 6 oz jar of sundried tomato pesto
1 ½ cup heavy cream
2 cups shredded cheese of choice
1 pound cooked pasta of choice (we used penne)
Mix up and enjoy!
