One Pot, Stove Top, Ground Beef “Lasagna”
Another hit with my family!
Let's get to the recipe really quickly here;
Boil in salted water 1 pound of your favorite pasta.
(reserve ½ a cup of pasta water for the sauce!)
4 pounds pre-cooked brown meat from the freezer
(If you don't have your pre-cooked brown meat, just brown, 2 pounds of ground beef and drain)
28 ounces canned diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
3 to 4 cloves garlic, diced
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon onion powder
3 tablespoons fresh basil
1 ladle of pasta water
1- 1/2 cup whole milk, ricotta
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
• Boil 1 pound of your favorite pasta.
• Combine pasta with sauce and pasta
Top with:
½ -1 cup parmesan or pecorino Romano cheese
• Serve with a salad and your favorite, crunchy bread, or my recipe to cheese and pizza spice stuffed crescent rolls.
