Penne, Chicken & Mushroom Crockpot Stroganoff
My family devoured this along with some sourdough to sop up the amazing sauce.
Here's the recipe:
Chicken & Mushroom Crockpot Stroganoff
On high in this order:
2.5-3 pounds chicken breasts
1 sliced yellow onion
2 x .87 oz brown gravy packets
8 oz. sliced brown musrooms
1 teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2-4 cups chicken stock (depending on preferred thickness of sauce)
A couple sprigs of rosemary and sage (optional)
After 3 hours mix in:
4 tablespoons of cornstarch mixed with a smidge of water.
2 cups sour cream
1 pound al dente cooked penne
Cook for 20 more minutes to thicken
Add a little more salt and pepper to taste
Enjoy with some good bread!
