Tacos Al Pastor (Pork Tacos)
The crock pot does all of the work, slowly cooking the pork in all of the herbs and spices. We like to serve with slightly toasted flour tortillas, Monterey Jack cheese, diced red onion, fresh flat parsley, a couple of slices of avocado and a squeeze of lime. I always add some creamy sour cream too. Mmmmm.
Enjoy this very easy recipe!
Tacos Al Pastor
In the crockpot on high:
1 4-5 pound pork loin roast
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon kosher salt.
½ teaspoon black pepper.
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon granulated onion
2 tablespoons cumin
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 yellow onion diced
16 ounces of salsa Cassera
3 hours later turn crockpot on low until you are ready to shred the pork.
Serve over tortillas and all of your favorite toppings.
